Background of the study

Quality‑focused product promotion emphasizes clear communication of product benefits and superior performance, which is crucial in the competitive electronics market. In Port Harcourt, electronics brands are increasingly investing in promotional strategies that highlight product innovation, durability, and performance to build consumer satisfaction and foster long‐term loyalty (Okafor, 2023). By focusing on quality, these promotions aim to differentiate products from lower‑quality alternatives and create a strong brand image. Research has shown that when consumers receive detailed and credible information about product quality through well‐crafted promotional campaigns, their overall satisfaction improves, leading to higher levels of loyalty and repeat purchase behavior (Ibrahim, 2024). However, challenges such as inconsistent messaging, lack of clear quality indicators, and budget constraints can undermine the effectiveness of these promotions. This study investigates how quality‑focused promotion influences customer satisfaction and loyalty for an electronics brand. It examines the key elements of promotional messaging that drive positive consumer perceptions and assesses the subsequent impact on loyalty, ultimately offering recommendations for optimizing quality‑driven marketing strategies to support sustainable business growth (Adebayo, 2025).

Statement of the problem

Electronics brands in Port Harcourt face the challenge of ensuring that quality‑focused product promotions effectively translate into enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty. When promotional messages are inconsistent or fail to adequately convey product excellence, consumers may perceive a gap between the advertised quality and the actual product performance, leading to reduced satisfaction and loyalty (Okafor, 2023). This misalignment can result in lower repeat purchase rates and weakened brand reputation, especially in a highly competitive market (Ibrahim, 2024). The study addresses these issues by examining the impact of quality‑focused promotions on customer attitudes and loyalty, with the goal of identifying strategies that can bridge the gap between promotional claims and consumer experience (Adebayo, 2025).
